Strabo merges Art and Philosophy to produce a synthesis of form and meaning.<\/p>

His projects draw on his training in the Charles Cecil studio in Florence where the centuries old sight-size tradition has been passed down in the \u201catelier tradition\u201d<\/span><\/p>

This tradition goes back to Velazquez, was transmitted by Joshua Reynolds through Singer Sargent and now remains active in the vibrant teaching studio.<\/p>

Strabo\u2019s approach to the human figure is influenced by his classical philosophical training and grounded in the aesthetics of Ancient Greece where the human figure remains paramount.<\/p>

Yet all is not rational \u2013 his work has the pinch of saffron taken from savage epic poetry of the steppes, echoes of the songs of the bardic scope of the mountains, and the shadows of shamanistic life animated by ancient apotropaic\u00a0objects.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The faces of Arunachal Pradesh<\/b>\u00a0\u2013 Himalayan portraits from the Far North East of India<\/b><\/p>

Strabo\u2019s project will take the atelier tradition of sight-size up to the mountains of the Himalayas.<\/p>

The monumental portraits will be exhibited against 360 degree photography of Arunachal Pradesh in London, Delhi and Itanagar.<\/p>

Guests at the exhibition guests will be offered renown Arunachal Pradesh food delicacies such as fermented yak cheese, \u201cApong<\/b>\u201d the fermented rice alcoholic drink.<\/p>
